You also have to find a good balance between finding a program that will work for both your company and your employees.

Everyone says that it takes 21 days to start a habit, but that’s not necessarily true. Some experts suggest that it may take up to 66 days to form simple habits, like drinking a glass of water every morning or jogging for fifteen minutes a day.

Mental illnesses are being talked about more now, but there are still a lot of myths and misconceptions surrounding them. People are still working to break down the stigmas surrounding mental illness, but by incorporating it into your corporate wellness program, you can help break that stigma as well.
Including mental wellness in your program can also help you as well. Depression costs U.S. business about $70 billion a year from lost productivity and medical leave. You could help save your employee and you money by focusing on mental as well as physical illness.
Incorporating programs that help benefit mental well being can also help those who aren’t suffering from mental illnesses as well.
Programs such as yoga, guided meditations, workshops focused on breathing, or any other stress-reducing activity can be helpful. Even regular exercise can help both employees with or without mental illness.

5. Offer Alternatives
If you feel like there’s no way you could have a gym at your office or if you can’t have healthy food options all of the time in the cafeteria, don’t worry.
You just have to get creative such as promoting farmers markets.
If you can’t afford to have a gym on site, offer a reimbursement program instead for employees who want to go to their own gym.
Designate a few days a week to cater a salad bar or have a food or smoothie truck come and visit your business.
Consider offering standing desks to people who don’t want to sit all day.
You just have to think outside of the box sometimes, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up entirely on implementing or enhancing your wellness program.
